Ring in School Year on Right Note
Do you hear that ringing? Alarm clocks and school bells are set to sound as back to school season approaches. Smartphones and tablets continue to replace notebooks and textbooks as 21st century learning tools. Apps, eBooks, Internet access and online educational videos have enhanced the learning experience. It?s no wonder that 47 percent of children have a cellphone, according to a recent U.S. Cellular survey. That is up from 36 percent in 2013. In an effort to help parents and students prepare for going back to school, U.S. Cellular will offer a free Device Workshop. The workshop is open to everyone. You don?t have to be a U.S. Cellular customer to attend. ?With reliable mobile Internet access on a high-quality 4G LTE network, parents and students can effectively harness the full capacity of smartphones and tablets,? said Erryn Andersen, U.S. Cellular?s director of sales in Nebraska and Iowa. ?Our associates are here to help ensure parents have the proper wireless resources to help their kids succeed in the classroom.? Anyone who attends an August workshop will have the opportunity to win an iPad Mini 3. There will be four iPad Mini 3 devices awarded each month across the country. Please call 402-721-3707 to RSVP.
