The Director of Membership and Developments primary role is to maintain current relationships with members while seeking new opportunities for the Chamber. Additionally, the director will encourage and monitor utilization of Chamber benefits and services by members with the understanding that engaged members tend to have higher levels of satisfaction. The director will be responsible for identifying and securing commitments for sponsorships attached to various Chamber events or activities. A balance of charisma, enthusiasm, determination, comfort with technology and a true enjoyment of working with people is required to be successful in this role.

The Day to Day Experience:
  • With Executive Director develop and execute the Chamber’s membership sales strategy
  • Identify new member prospects
  • Encourage members to upgrade to or select higher level tiers of membership
  • Determine/report metrics to measure growth in membership
  • Coordinate Diplomats, the Chamber’s volunteer member engagement team  
  • In collaboration with Accounting Department and Diplomats, manage A/R
  • Manage the membership application and intake process
  • Assist to organize and present member oriented events and programs
  • Other duties as assigned
