DESCRIPTION:Session 1: 1-3:30 p.m. (Servers) and 3:30-4 (Managers)\n\n	Session 2: 5:30-8 p.m. (Servers) and 8-8:30 p.m. (Managers)\n\n	Presented by Jim Avary\, Alcohol Servers Training\n\n	$25/server\; $75/manager\n\n	This class is designed to prepare individuals and businesses who sell alcohol to do so safely and responsibly. \n\n	Topics reviewed include:\n\n	\n		\n			Responsibilities of licensees and their employees as they pertain to selling alcohol.\n		\n			Penalties and consequences associated with irresponsible alcohol sale or service.\n		\n			Delineation of what constitutes reasonable efforts to ensure responsible alcohol sales\, including 3rd party sales.\n		\n			Proper ID checking techniques including but not limited to acceptable forms of ID's what to check on an ID\, and underage warning signs.\n		\n			Documentary proof of age book and its correct use.\n		\n			Nebraska specific information such as age to consume\, legal BAC limit\, legal hours of sale\, illegal activities\, liability laws and penalties.\n		\n			How alcohol affects people including but not limited to physiological effects of alcohol\, visible signs of intoxication\, factors influencing rate of intoxication\, blood alcohol content\, and tolerance.\n		\n			Types and quantities of alcohol including but not limited to measured drinks\, alcohol purity/concentration\, and drink equivalencies.\n		\n			Guidelines for ensuring responsible alcohol sales including but not limited to\, safe customer service\, prevention of confrontation and avoiding the escalation of a situation.\n	\n\n\n	Attendees will complete an exam of the information at the end.  Those with a 70% or higher will obtain a certificate of certified training.\n\n	 \n\n	The Manager training will take place immediately following the general class and will cover the following topics:\n\n	\n		Methods for conducting a risk assessment of their establishment.\n	\n		Developing policies and practices for responsible beverage service.\n	\n		Procedures specifying when to contact law enforcement.\n	\n		Recommendations for establishment of on-going training for staff.\n\n\n	Reservations due by October 22nd.
