Here at Sid Dillon, we are a thriving company looking to add an Automotive Service Technician to our Buick, GMC, Cadillac & Mazda team in Fremont, Nebraska. Pay is $45,000 to $100,000 plus depending on experience. Our ideal candidate will have minimal 1-2 years of automotive technician/mechanic experience.
Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform work in an efficient and accurate manner, following dealership and manufacture standards.
  • Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined on vehicles and identify potential troublesome areas.
  • Communicate with service team to understand the customer’s needs and to discuss necessary work to be performed.
  • Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions.
  • Repair malfunctions and damages as needed.
  • Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services.
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers’ performance specifications.
  • Document work performed.
  • Test drive vehicles to ensure quality of work performed.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and keep track of company tools.
  • Stay updated on company and factory training.

Experience and skill requirements:
  • High School diploma required.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a highly energized, fast-paced, adaptive environment.
  • Ability to work in an environment exposed to contaminants.
Physical and work schedule requirements:
  • Ability to work 40+ hours a week.
  • Punctual attendance.
  • Flexible schedule with some Saturdays required.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work with your hands and arms on a regular basis.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
All positions require a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
