Inspector
Duties, Responsibilities, and Skills:
- Operate press and inspect castings to acceptance criteria
- Proficient understanding of each customers individual requirements
- Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality
- Perform dry magnetic particle inspection with supervision
- Perform wet-magnetic and dye penetrant inspection with supervision
- Utilizes gauges, fixtures, and measuring tools
- Understands MSS – SP55 visual acceptance standards and comparator plates and their application
- Demonstrates proficiency in both production and quality
- Capable of accurately verifying and recording of heat numbers
- Performs visual casting inspections for conformities and nonconformities
- Accurately records inspection results
- Operates cranes as necessary
- Performs minor cosmetic repairs on castings
Entry Level Qualifications& Requirements
- Basic math skills
- Experience in a related area
- Must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 100 lbs. (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. and assistance is readily available.)
- Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment
- Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others
- Must perform other duties as assigned
