Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:
- Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality.
- Has the ability to weld all casting alloy families efficiently. Carbon, Low Alloy, and Stainless Steels.
- Able to utilize all welding processes proficiently. FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW.
- Capable of performing tasks assigned with minimal supervision.
- Possesses the ability to identify casting defects which require weld repair.
- Capable of operating all welding equipment and has advanced air arc experience.
- Understanding of all basic machine settings and how they affect weld quality.
- Possesses knowledge of OSCC’s heat treat processes and understands the markings on castings.
- Able to identify parts that require pre-heat for welding.
- Able to maintain the proper temperature while performing work.
