Great Plains Communications has an opening in Blair, NE for a part-time Lab Engineer who is detailed oriented and looking for a learning opportunity in the Network Engineering field.
- The individual will assist the Architecture teams in setting up, documenting, and testing Great Plains Communications networking solutions in our Blair, Nebraska Network Architecture Lab.
- The position will provide support to GPC engineers and technicians in other departments as needed by working to recreate problems and potential solutions in the Blair NE Network Architecture Lab.
- The position will create and maintain documentation and diagrams for GPC network Lab environment.
- The individual will manage tools used for maintaining and troubleshooting GPC network services in the GPC Lab.
- In addition, this position works with Network Architect in person and remotely to create lab topologies and testing scenarios.
Skills/Knowledge: Basic Ethernet, IP and Network skills, Basic Computer skills, and MS Office applications. able to lift 50lbs.
Ideal candidate will work 2 - 3 Days per week.
