Celebrate the Tradition Tree Lighting
Our White Light City will carry on the namesake tradition started by Ray Simmons more than 30 years ago with an event on Wednesday, Nov. 23, at Keene Memorial Library – and this year, the efforts to light up Fremont are expanding. Thanks to a generous donation from the Debby Durham Family Foundation, Digg Site Productions was able to purchase nearly 1,500 white lights to be distributed through local churches and businesses and turn the commUNITY into a reflection of Fremont’s White Light City tradition. A portion of those lights will be available to residents who attend the Nov. 23 tree lighting event, which will begin at 5 p.m. The Debby Durham Family Foundation has also provided a donation to cover the cost of the White Lights on the library’s tree.
