HETRA Horse Camp
Learn what it takes to keep a horse healthy, happy and strong at the Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy (HETRA) facilities. Focus of the camp will be on the ground activities of grooming, haltering, leading, horse care including horse safety, parts of the horse and saddles, and how to feed horses during the first two weeks of camp. The Advanced Riding camp will offer a higher level of instructions. HETRA summer camp is staffed with HETRA Instructors and trained HETRA volunteers! There will be time for art projects, making horse treats and of course, riding! Each week will wrap up with a horse show where families and friends are invited to watch a HETRA Horse Show, complete with trophies for all. Camp is open to all ages, individuals with disabilities, and the general public. Participants can attend for the full week or can participate in selected days.
