This briefing is an opportunity for business owners and human resource professionals to learn more about the National Labor Relations Act and the primary functions of the National Labor Relations Board. Topics will include protected concerted activity as it applies to Section 8(a)(1) and what constitutes activity that is both concerted and protected. Learn about the new challenges of social media as a form of protected concerted activity and what employers should be aware of in addressing employees communicating with others via social media. Find out more about the Board’s new notice posting rule that is tentatively scheduled to become effective on April 30, 2012, requiring all private sector employers to begin posting a notice advising their employees of their rights under the NLRA, the reasons for the creation of this rule, the challenges the rule has encountered, the contents of the notice, and where Employer’s can obtain copies to comply with the rule.
