Spokes and Sneakers
The Fremont Cosmopolitan 100 Club exists to raise funds for diabetes research and to send area youth that are type 1 diabetic to Camp Floyd Rogers, which is located in Ashland Nebraska. This is only possible through fundraising efforts done by our local volunteers who are very passionate about this cause.
We are inviting you join us for a new event this year called:
Spokes and Sneakers
Sunday August 11, 2013
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Our bike ride will commence from Eagle Distributing Parking Lot, ride on Old Highway 8 to Highway 36 and loop back around on Old Highway 8 back to Eagle Distributing. Our 12 mile track will feature rest stops along the way. We will meet back at Eagle Distributing for a Picnic lunch and a Bike Rodeo for children up to 12 years of age, starting at 11:00 am. Walkers and Runners are also welcome!
For a $250.00 sponsorship you will receive: Signage at the event and it will also include 5 free participants and the picnic lunch at the event!
For a $150.00 sponsorship you will have your business name on a sign at our event.
Individual Participants: $10.00 Per Person, Including the Picnic Lunch
Teams of 4 or more: $30.00 Each Team, Including the Picnic Lunch
Camp Floyd Rogers has a donor that will match $500.00 for every $500.00 that we can raise to send a youth to camp. The camp fee is $1000.00 for the week long camp. As you can see this donor match gives us the ability to reach out to our area youth, FREE OF CHARGE and provide them this opportunity to interact with counselors and other youth learning to live with diabetes.
