U.S. Cellular Device Workshop Will Provide Tips on How to Save Soaked Cellphone
As August continues to provide warm weather, hitting the pool or local lake is a great way to cool off. Summer also is one of the busiest times for cellphone repairs due to water damage. It’s a horrible, cringe-worthy moment when a smartphone falls into a pool, river or lake. It happens to most people at some point, so it’s important to be prepared with a plan to recover and restore your latest device, such as the iPhone 6s, Samsung Galaxy S7 or LG G5, if it becomes waterlogged. At U.S. Cellular’s free Device Workshop, attendees can hear advice on how you can make sure your phone’s data, such as contacts and photos, can be backed up before an incident occurs and what steps to take if your smartphone takes a plunge. “In today’s mobile society, people depend on a high-quality network for everything from scheduling their busy lives and connecting with friends and family to posting social media updates and planning their summer vacations,” said Mike Adams, U.S. Cellular’s director of sales for Nebraska and Iowa. “So if your smartphone gets wet, the key to success is acting quickly. Keep a cool head, use solutions that have been proven effective and avoid behavior that might cause further damage.” You may call 402-721-3707 for more information or to RSVP. You don’t have to be a U.S. Cellular customer to attend.
