Weenie Wednesday to benefit Midland University PBL students
The parking lot of First State Bank & Trust Co. (1005 East 23rd Street) will be the location on Wednesday, April 27th from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. for a Weenie Wednesday fundraiser to benefit the Midland University chapter of PBL. The lunch will include a hot dog, chips, cookie and pop. Free will donations will be accepted. In the event of rain, the fundraiser will be moved inside the main bank.
First State Bank & Trust Co. will also be donating $1 to the PBL group for every new 'like' on their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/firststatebankandtrust between now and April 30, 2011.
Seven Midland University students qualified to compete at the upcoming national conference in Orlando, Florida this July in events such as Emerging Business Issues, Strategic Analysis and Decision Making, Integrated Marketing Campaign and Human Resources Management.
The four-day conference is considered the pinnacle of the PBL experience. It is an opportunity to compete in business related events against the best and brightest in the nation while also promoting leadership, information exchange and new opportunities to implement on the local chapter level.
PBL is a unique organization designed to give college students the competitive edge through career exploration, self-improvement, and community service opportunities.
