Role Overview – Business Development Representative (BDR):

As a BDR, you will be the engine of our sales pipeline, driving new business and fueling our growth. You’ll identify and engage “good fit” clients through high-impact outbound outreach, making calls and sparking interest in our auction services. This isn’t cold-calling – it’s about making connections and setting the stage for big deals. You will work closely with an experienced Auction Specialist, ensuring a smooth hand-off of qualified leads and directly contributing to DPA’s revenue growth. Your impact will be felt daily: when you succeed, the whole team succeeds.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect & Outreach: Proactively research and contact potential business clients via phone and email. Introduce DPA’s services and build rapport while qualifying their needs.
  • Lead Qualification: Build a pipeline of high-quality leads by vetting inbound inquiries and generating new leads through creative prospecting.
  • Appointment Setting: Schedule discovery calls and meetings between qualified prospects and our Auction Specialists.Your goal is to create opportunities for the sales team to close deals.
  • Pipeline Nurturing:Follow up diligently on leads. Provide additional information and nurture relationships until prospects are ready to move forward. You ensure no opportunity slips through the cracks.
  • CRM Management:Keep meticulous records in our CRM (calls, emails, lead status, next steps). You take ownership of your funnel and use data to optimize your approach.
  • Collaboration:Work hand-in-hand with your Auction Specialist to strategize outreach and ensure a seamless transition from initial contact to closing.You’re a true team player focused on shared success.
  • Target Crushing:Meet or exceed your weekly and monthly targets for calls made, appointments set, and qualified deals passed. We celebrate wins – and reward over-achievers!

 

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

  • Sales Drive: 2+ years in a sales or business development role (B2B preferred), with proven resilience and motivation to make high-volume outreach. You love the thrill of finding that next big client!
  • Communication Skills:Exceptional phone and interpersonal skills – you can turn a cold call warm through genuine conversation. Clear, concise writing for effective email follow-ups.
  • Tenacity & Positivity:Able to handle rejection with grace and bounce back quickly. You see “no” as “not yet” and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Self-Starter:Goal-oriented and organized. You manage your own time, prioritize tasks, and thrive with autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-Savvy:Comfortable using CRM systems to log activities and manage leads. Quick to learn new sales tools and stay aware of AI options to improve efficiency.
  • Team Player:Cooperative and “respectfully blunt” communicator (one of our core values). You welcome feedback and work well with others to achieve team goals.
