Child Care Teacher

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills, including specialized programs such as Montessori or preschool methods
• Plan and execute daily lesson plans that incorporate child development principles, early intervention strategies, and classroom management techniques
• Foster a nurturing environment by managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns to ensure collaborative support for each child's growth
• Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor developmental progress and tailor instruction accordingly
• Ensure safety by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications, supervising children during activities, and adhering to health and safety protocols at all times

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is essential
• Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and practices, including special education and early intervention approaches
• Proven ability to develop engaging curriculum content across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and sensory activities
• Experience managing classroom dynamics through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
• Strong communication skills for parent engagement, team collaboration, and conveying instructional goals clearly
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or preschool teaching are highly desirable
