Air Arc Operator - 2nd Shift (3pm-12:30pm)

We are currently seeking a reliable individual to join the Omaha Steel team as an Air Arc Operator.
Duties, Responsibilities and Skills:
Classification Level A
- Encompasses all duties, responsibilities and skills of B level
- Able to independently train others within this position on all classifications listed below
- The ability to identify which parts are to be hot arced and the temperature to do the job correctly
- The ability to arc all high alloy castings efficiently
- Demonstrates high proficiency in both production and quality
Classification Level B
- Check castings with arc gauges to maintain proper casting profile
- Able to identify and remove excess metal on castings
- Proper use and care of air arc equipment
- Demonstrates proficiency in both production and quality
- Ability to determine proper size of carbon rod
Entry Level Qualifications and Requirements:
- Basic math skills
- Must have the ability to repetitively lift up to 100 lbs. (employees are encouraged to seek assistance when lifting over 50 lbs. and assistance is readily available.)
- Work in or near extremes in temperatures and dusty environment
- Able to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks in an unsupervised manner
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English
- Must have reliable attendance, willing to work flexible hours, & work well with others
