Care Corps’ LifeHouse is seeking an energetic, relationship-focused professional to lead fundraising, donor engagement, communications, and public relations efforts for our growing nonprofit organization. This full-time position plays a key role in advancing our mission of enriching lives by providing the path to stability.
The Director of Development & PR will work closely with the Executive Director to strengthen community partnerships, expand fundraising efforts, coordinate events, pursue grant opportunities, and increase public awareness of Care Corps’ LifeHouse programs and impact.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement annual fundraising and donor engagement strategies
• Build relationships with donors, businesses, foundations, and community partners
• Coordinate fundraising campaigns, sponsorships, and special events
• Oversee social media, public relations, newsletters, and marketing communications
• Create compelling stories and messaging that highlight organizational impact
• Represent Care Corps’ LifeHouse at community events, presentations, and meetings
• Support board and volunteer engagement in development activities
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field preferred
• Strong writing, public speaking, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
• Experience with donor databases, social media, and communication platforms preferred
• Familiarity with the Fremont community and philanthropic engagement is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Schedule:
Full-time, primarily Monday through Friday, with flexibility for community events, meetings, and occasional evening or weekend activities.
