Crisis Response Specialist
The Crisis Response Specialist provides immediate and compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing behavioral health crises. This role focuses on early intervention, de-escalation, safety planning, and connecting clients with essential behavioral health and community services. By responding in real time through phone, walk-ins, and community outreach, the specialist helps stabilize crises, reduce barriers to care, and ensure continuity of support from first contact to initial appointment.
Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, collaborating with law enforcement and emergency services, developing safety plans, facilitating service access, and assisting with intake processes. The specialist utilizes trauma-informed practices, critical thinking, and strong communication skills to ensure clients receive timely and effective intervention. On-call coverage during evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required.
This position plays a vital role in helping individuals access behavioral health care and fostering safety, stability, and hope within the community.
